Way back in 2011 my partner in crime Murkem, videographer and founder of In the Cut Studio’s, took a trip to various states around the country working on projects for various rappers & musicians. One artist in particular, Jelly Roll, whom I just discovered after watching this video, is fresh on the scene and on his way to hood super-stardom. Every line this dude spits makes me feel like I’m right there in the trap hustling along with him. Now signed with Three 6 Mafia, Jelly Roll is the perfect rapper to ride-out too in your pimped out ride or your hooptie while sippin lean & sprite with a thick ass bitch by your side while you slang crack.

Armand Van Helden in Miami for Arkadia’s 1 Yr Aniversary
This Friday, Jan 27th, the legendary dj/producer Armand Van Helden brings his signature brand of funk to Arkadia as they celebrate their 1 year anniversary. If your unfamiliar with Armand, he is 1/2 of the group “Duck Sauce” whose made huge waves in electronic music culture these last few years with hits such as “Anyways”, “Barbara Streisand” & “Big Bad Wolf”- Catch him and his partner A-Trak in their latest music video here. Before “Duck Sauce”, Armand has been a major force in the club scene beginning in 1988′ when he dropped out of college in Boston to pursue remixing & djing as a full time career. Since then he has dropped many dance floor CLASSICS such as “Funk Phenomenon” “U Don’t Know me” & “I want your soul” just to name a few. To this day, Armand continues to set trends in electronic music, all while staying true to his roots of funk, disco & house styles. You can always catch him rocking some gold chains & high top fades maintaining his retro style all while moving forward with the times.

Last Tuesday was the kick off of the brand new “Good To Go” party at Arkadia Miami along with the birthday celebration of nightlife host Alex Saladrigas. “Not for the Radio” held it down on the turntables as the champagne bottles popped and people partied till the early morning.
